125 Years of Virology

In 1898, the seminal papers of Martinus Beijerinck and Friedrich Loeffler/Paul Frosch on the filterability of the pathogens of tobacco mosaic disease in tobacco and foot-and-mouth disease in animals was published. A special session will honour this exceptional achievement at the ECV 2023.

Bernhard Fleckenstein Memorial Lecture
The work of Bernhard Fleckstein (✟ 2021) for virology and especially for the European Society of Virology, of which he was a founding father together with Otto Haller, will be honoured at ECV2023 by the Bernhard Fleckenstein Memorial Lecture.
